Series-1 Suggestion for infection prevention from Susumu Co., Ltd.

Continuity and safety of NO8 continuous fungicide "AbedulAg+

The characteristic of the continuity of the fungicide is that it can create an environment where resistant bacteria are difficult to develop by completely killing it on the time axis when the number of non-proliferating bacteria is small, and it is economical because there is no need to reprocess the sterilization. Unlike conventional antibacterial fibers, there is no need to worry about when the effect will be lost, and many applications are expected with less environmental load. The bactericidal effect was examined by washing 300 times according to the selection criteria specified by the Textile Evaluation Technology Council. As a result of evaluation by an external organization against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, which are representative bacteria of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, it was confirmed that 99.99% of the bactericidal effect continues. As a representative example, the evaluation results for Staphylococcus aureus are shown here. Based on the results of this evaluation, it is possible to create an environment with few bacteria on the fabric at all times, so it is possible to block the spread of bacteria through contact and reduce the risk of infectious diseases.

Next, since the FDA requires presentation of biocompatibility for safety, we evaluated three points: cytotoxicity and skin irritation/sensitization. An example of measurement results for the most concerning cytotoxicity is described below.

The material of the base fabric, which was confirmed to have no problem, is polyester fiber. There is no problem with skin irritation/sensitivity, so the description is omitted.
