Why is it so difficult to take measures against infectious diseases ④

The causes of infectious diseases are classified into three types: airborne / droplet infection and contact transmission. In particular, since 80% is caused by contact, it is generally said that it is effective to wash hands cleanly to block the transmission of bacteria.

However, in reality, it is impossible to wash your hands cleanly each time you touch something, so it is not always sufficient as a countermeasure. A possible method is to create an environment where there are no bacteria on the surface of things you touch, such as bed rails, faucets, sheets, nurse uniforms, door knobs, towels, nursing clothes, handrails and reception counters. However, at present, there is no non-toxic, environmentally friendly and continuous antibacterial agent. It is necessary to study an antibacterial agent that solves this problem.
